Gitschen 2513m, Urner Alps

A beautiful but challenging hike to the summit of Gitschen, where you can enjoy the magnificent view to the Lake of Uri and the Urner Alps.

Isenthal 771m -> Gitschen 2531m -> Isenthal

1. Good physical condition. Be able to hike min 400m/h (altitude gain).
2. The trail below the summit is quite exposed. The participants must be good hikers, not afraid of the height and the exposure, and can walk independently without assistance and belay. It requires surefootedness!
3. The tour will take place only under the good weather condition. The final decision will be announced on the 10.08.2023.

Good hiking boots, water/wind-proof outwear, trekking poles (optional but recommended), hat, sun protection, picnics

In case of the bad weather on the 13.08, it is possible to move the tour to the 12.08.2023.
